Welcome to

CHI FAMILY NET.

This dynamic website is thorough, yet very easy to use.

  • The menu at the top is will take you to the main areas of the site.

  •   The menu at the left takes you to the rooms within the main.

If you do not "click" on anything for 20 minutes, you will lose your security "token" and will have to login again.  This is for your protection and ours.

Adoption Process

This section contains all necessary information to complete an adoption:

  •  The adoption process section contains very specific assistance and answers to frequently asked questions.  This part of the site is reserved for those members who have entered the adoption process, either by filling out the adoption application on line, or mailing in an application.
  • These pages will guide you through the entire process based on the country you've chosen to adopt from.

Travel

Contains the Travel Guide for the country you have chosen, details on airlines and accommodations, how to pack, how much money to take. There's an outline of what you will see and do and the schedule from the time you are met by your CHI Coordinator to the time she will see you off at the airport when the adoption is finalized.

Post-Adoption

This portion of the site will guide you in matters after the adoption is completed.  Medical recommendations, family and social adjustments, how to get a birth certificate, becoming a citizen, getting the Adoption Tax Credit and all those other things that must be done after you bring your child home.

Waiting Children

These beautiful children are often forgotten, but not by us.  As you reach certain levels in the adoption process, you will be allowed to view and inquire about specific children.

Newsletter Online

This is the regular monthly CHI Newsletter online and will allow you to stay informed about what CHI is doing and what is happening around the world in the world of adoption.

Feedback

is invited.  This is a special form that sends an e-mail message to the CHI staff.  We really want to hear from you.  Let us know what we are doing right and what you would like to see us improve on.

Adoption Application:

  • Depending on your comfort level with the web, you can "click" on a copy of the CHI adoption application and print it.  This allows you to fill it out and send it to CHI.  You can print it out, and use it as a template for the on-line application.
  • The on-line application allows you to fill out the application and we will receive it at the speed of technology.  Your information is kept private and only you can change any information.
  • After your application has been filled out, an e-mail message will be sent to CHI alerting us that you have filled out an application.  You will still need to sign and mail page 4 to us, but we will be able to review your application as soon as we receive the e-mail message.

Helping Hands

is our CHI sponsorship program.  That allows you to assist children by sending much needed funding for school, clothes, food, and medical attention.

  • The Helping Hands application allows you to donate to various humanitarian projects that CHI is involved in around the world.  CHI is a licensed, not-for-profit adoption and humanitarian agency and your record will allow you to claim all donations as tax-exempt.
  • Helping Hands also sends an e-mail message to CHI.  We embrace electronic commerce, but, we still request that you mail your checks to us.  This will provide you with a backup receipt for tax purposes.
  • You can also send contributions for school tuition for orphans, join us in purchasing supplies and equipment, and in assisting families with the cost of adoption. We know you will be blessed for giving hope and  help to children..

The Personal Information Link

of the Family Net contains important items that are directly set aside for you.  The item that will always be present is the Personal Administration section:

  • The Personal Admin section allows you to change all information that is directly related to you as a member of the Family Net.  You may fill in the blanks and  change information.  The only thing you can't change is your user security level - this will be changed by the web administrator based on your progress through the adoption process.
  • Other items will appear on the menu bar in time.  These items will include messages, status items, and photographs of your child.  These menu items are for your viewing only.
